Entirely normal day

I gotta say, some days I have plenty to write about... Interesting people I run into, uplifting situations, good or bad training times. I don't have a single one to report on. I swam a very run-of-the-mill 3,200 yard practice at a community pool. Did some weights today as well.

I did some research on the Masters records I once held, simply to see if I had a shot at all to snag them back. After a quick review, I don't think it's possible to achieve in a few short months, and basically impossible because we're in SCM season for the most part before I age up. At one time, I had quite a few of the backstroke records in the 25-29 age group. However a vast majority of records have been broken by legitimately faster swimmers (tech suit or not). Something I hadn't noticed until today was that each person who broke my records had swam in at least one Summer Olympic Games.

That's all, just found that interesting. I have a feeling a 45.95 in the 100 Yard Backstroke will probably remain the national record for a while. Or until Aaron Piersol registers for Masters.
