I'm up early and headed to the MSU Munley Memorial Long Course Meet. Because of my work schedule I only got 4 hours of sleep. I feel the slightest bit shakey this morning, probably from lack of sleep and food. I have a few bananas with me for the 1 hour drive to East Lansing.
It looks a little overcast at this point so I'm hoping its done raining (this is an outdoor meet). Its 7:45am and its already 70 degrees so it shouldn't be too chilly when the meet starts at 9am.
I felt a little lethargic yesterday while warming up yesterday but I think its just because it was a huge week of training.
I was talking to Coach Peter Linn the other day and he mentioned that MSU's outdoor pool is actually 55 yards rather than 50 meters. The yards measurement was the American standard till the U.S. switched to the metric system for long course. If this pool is indeed yards, it would make it 11.4" longer than the Olympic standard of 50 meters, little fun fact :)
