EVERY SINGLE DAY

The boring updates are that I've been doing really well on training. I've been swimming 3k-5k daily along with occasional weights and dryland training. As always, I want to be making more progress than I am, but I've been adding small amounts of yardage to move my weekly average higher.

What I consider real progress is my outlook on daily goals. I've developed a short list of exercises I do EVERY SINGLE DAY. I admit, it's been a rocky start. I began about 2 weeks ago doing 20 dogdowns (reverse pike ups in the push up position) to develop better core strength. I added 30 situps and side bends. These are small goals on purpose. I know I can do many more than these numbers. The point is that I'm doing it EVERY SINGLE DAY. Even in low numbers it will help me improve my core strength. I know that once I start doing these three exercises, I will achieve the minimum for the day almost always add more. On the days I remember to do it, it's gone exactly to plan, I routinely add more reps, sets and exercises. It's a small step, but done each day will make a difference in my training.
