7More Running and the Fountain of Youth

I just finished another 1.5 mile run, I'm really proud of myself! I lengthened my stride through the entire run, I think it also helped my sore knee. It seems like when I take a longer stride I "bounce" up and down less. This puts less strain on my knees and I run faster. Although I didn't time myself I'm confident this run was much quicker than the last time. I'm on pace for a great 5k later this month.
I'll be in the pool later today. Exercising makes me feel great! I caught a NBC report showing that people who exercise regularly are proven to stay healthy and incur less injuries an average of 18 years longer than somebody who doesn't exercise on a regular basis. It was a great report. It was inspirational to see these 70-80 year olds out there doing marathons and talking about being able to wrestle around on the floor with their great grandchildren. They referred to exercise as "the fountain of youth".
