Workouts that work with life

For the last few years I've been trying to figure out ways to get good weight and dryland workouts while maintaining my work and lifestyle. Because of the nature of swimming, I've determined I need to be in the water most every day to keep a "feel for the water". The pool time portion of my workout regiment can't be reduced or eliminated. Although, I have found that other portions of my workout I can simply do at home. Here are the ingredients of my home gym:

Weights: A handweight set that range from 5-50 lbs.
Stretch Cords: I use these for ab workouts and swimming arm motion workouts.
Dryland/Plyometric/Bodyweight: No hardware required.

The combination of all these keeps me out of the gym and pool which gives me more time to work and enjoy life. I actually like integrating workouts with spending time at home. I will do a set of weights, then tidy up the kitchen, do a set of weights, then return a business call, etc. I find it facinating how much of a workout I can get while just living my life.

I will continue to polish this system because I really enjoy the balance it brings to my life. On the swimming front, I decided to swim in a masters meet on July 20th, it's a long course meet in Dearborn. Should be a good time as always!
