Race Analysis for my 100 Backstroke

USA Swimming offers "Race Analysis" for all races performed at the trials. I got a copy of the analysis of my 100 Backstroke:

As much as I wanted a better time in the 100 Back, I swam this race exactly how I wanted to. I have no regrets. Looking at this chart (you can enlarge it by clicking on it), I went 13 meters off the start, flipped at a quick 27.28, while taking 32 strokes (16 cycles) on my first 50 meters. This is exactly how I wanted to swim the first 50. I hoped it would be a high 26 second split, however, I knew I wanted to take 32 strokes and go 13-14 meters underwater.

The second 50 was exactly what I wanted as well, just not as fast as I would have expected. I went 10.5 meters off the turn, my goal was over 10. My distance per stroke was good, I took 36 strokes (18 cycles). This number of strokes is exactly how I wanted to swim the race.

As much as I wanted to be faster, I am very proud of how I swam the race!
