186 Site Visitors in one day! 50 Free time trial today!

Over 400 individual hits, and 186 individual users hit the site on June 30th 2008, by far the highest number since the site launched in early 2008 :)

Not that it's all about numbers, I'm just a geek like that. I appreciate the people who have taken an interest in my swimming. Everybody from the "die hard fans" like many of my family members, all the way to the people in my graduating class that heard about the site yesterday.

Today I will time trial the 50 freestyle. I would love to get a best time in the event since I know I'm nowhere near peaked. The last time I swam it I dropped a half a second. The time trials are not broadcast anywhere since there are usually so many of them so please visit my blog if you'd like to know how I did. I'm trying to beat 23.76. For a reference point, the Olympic Trial cut is 23.49. I believe I probably could have gotten the trial cut if I had more time but I was also aware that I couldn't be in Omaha the day they compete so it wasn't worth rushing for a cut.

It's been hard catching up on sleep, I usually get a bad headache after the 100 backstroke, probably a combination of anxiety and simply the physical effect of elevating my heart rate to that level for that long. This is especially distracting because I literally never get headaches. Which reminds me, I can say it now because I won't jinx myself. I haven't been sick in 2 years. I never really got sick before that, but 2 years ago I started keeping track.

I'm happy that my family is sticking around to watch my time trial today, they all leave tomorrow for Michigan. I'll post again later while I'm watching Prelims.
