Photo Shoot and lots of eating

Posted by Kevin Doak on Thursday at: 10:40pm (June 19th, 2008)

So I've noticed I've been eating around 5 full meals a day. Its kind of scary.

I had a quick photo shoot with the Livingston Press and Argus paper today for their follow up article. The photographer, Gillis, was really quite quick, and got some great shots! He had a Canon EOS 1D with a 70-200mm F2.8 Lens... I've drooled over that lens for a few years now, it takes great low light shots. His camera captured 8 frames a second, he pressed the shutter and it sounded like flipping pages in a book... Awesome camera and lens.

A few relatives were wondering when I was going to swim at trials:

I will definitely swim during the Preliminary morning session of the 100 backstroke on June 30th at 11:00am Central Standard Time. My exact heat start time won't be released until the day before my event. There will be live results as well, I'll post the link as soon as it's available.

AT&T is offering up-to-the-minute text message alerts of broken world records and fun swim facts from AT&T and USA Swimming. Just text SWIM to 8833. I thought that was kinda cool. This is an article about the trials:

and an excerpt from USA swimming website:

Imagine, free chauffeur service from the airport, challenging Olympians to a battle in video games and updates on the latest news sent to you. These are just a few of the perks of attending the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming in Omaha, Neb., June 29 – July 6. There’s only one way to get them – be there.

This is gonna be a blast!
