5Strained/Ripped back muscle, time for a break unfortunately

A few months ago (as long as last fall), I pulled/strained/ripped a muscle in my lower back. The pain comes and goes but I simply haven't stopped exercising in that long. I'm seeing a massage therapist and taking a week off the pool. I've had such a successful run of daily workouts, this isn't ideal but I want to have a great fall season and I can't further my training without a healthy back. It's been affecting my workouts and my daily life. I seem to move through the water just fine but basically every other moment of the day is filled with moderate to severe pain.
Time for a break, simple as that. Afterward, I'll attack my training again!
