Still training a week after my taper meet
This is a good sign. I'm still motivated after my USMS state meet. I was in the water 5 days this week and exercised 6 of 7 days. My respectable times from last weekend are motivating me to improve. I'm excited to see what I can do in some LCM meets.
Fantastic Meet!
I couldn't be happier with my state meet performances! I kept thinking this weekend: "You get out what you put in". I've been training hard and making time to get in the gym and the pool. I showed up to the meet ready to swim fast and that's exactly what I did. I know I got out exactly what I put in. This weekend left me ready to put even more work in the pool. It was both satisfying and motivating!

My goal was to beat my times from last year. I arguably demolished my times from last year (see post below). I love competing against myself, it's the most straightforward and honest form of competition. It makes me very proud that I've improved so much in a year based on how much I've had going on. I'm looking forward to some long course meets this summer and making another run on some SCY this fall. I'll post some videos soon.
