It just keeps getting better, I had a lane to myself for 1.5 Hours this morning. The pool must not even been open, there was nobody there at all. I feel like I really missed the boat on the end of summer meet. Everybody just kinda passed me up with tapers. I didn't start training in time to make a taper really worth it. I'm going to focus on some of the Masters meets this fall for a taper.
In EMU backstroke news: Sophomore Jacob Hanson just became the fastest 100m Backstroker from the school, edging me out by 0.14 seconds with a 56.86 at Long Course Nationals in Irvine, CA just yesterday. Congrats Jacob! It will be really exciting to watch EMU's team this year, I have a feeling either Justin Griggs or Jacob Hanson will break my 100 Back Varsity Record of 48.51. As much as I'd like to hold onto the record, I think they're both really talented swimmers, if they break it, I say good for them and good for EMU!
