Shoulder = 100%

I had planned on taking a few days off but felt the need to enjoy the nice weather over the long weekend. Therefore I hit Fuller Pool for an hour or so yesterday afternoon for a quick dip. Since my shoulder was so questionable last week I figured it would take some time to heal. I could still feel some pain on Sunday but by Monday morning it was back to normal. I only swam about 1,500 meters LC but it was enough to put it through it's paces and see if it was bothering me. I think it's in good shape!

I gotta tell ya though, Fuller Pool, on a hot summer day and people off work is a combination for some of the most frustrating lap swimming EVER. Over and over, all I kept thinking was "how is the trajectory of a lap swimmer so confusing to society?". I always try to give the benefit of the doubt to others in the pool, such as "perhaps I'm doing something that would be confusing, and that's why they keep getting in my way", and of course, I always give kids a pass, cause they're kids. But I'm talking about adults, who probably see the lane lines, who probably see the line on the bottom of the pool, who have probably seen a swimming race in the Olympics once or twice.... and who have probably driven on a road in the United States at some point in their lives. These people just wander into multiple swimming lanes, repeatedly, over the course of 45 minutes, with no regard to what's happening around them. The highly confusing "LAP SWIM" signs at the end of each lane obviously designate this lane a great place to play "catch the pull bouy" with your child.

It makes me scared to drive home knowing these people own vehicles.

Overall it was a pleasant day outside and it was nice to swim in the sunshine for once this year. I relaxed in the chairs after my swim and fell asleep for 15 minutes. It was a nice day.
