I felt like I swam a meet yesterday, I had to come home and take a 30 minute nap just to function the rest of the night. This morning I hit up another EMU practice 14 hours after the first one I got ruined in. I was a little short on sleep and my left shoulder is already overworked. Since I won't have time to swim on Sunday I figured I would squeeze another one in today. Today was no different than yesterday other than the fact I got trampled by more swimmers than yesterday... mostly because there were more swimmers in attendance.
The warmups are just killer but I got through it. The 8x100's on 1:40 kick are pretty tough for me. That interval is brutal.
The main set was:
16x50m @:50 Every 4th one MAX
12x50m @:55 Every 3rd one Max
8x50m @1:00 Every other one MAX
4x50m @1:10 Every one MAX
Since I was doing them all backstroke, and I was tired, those easy ones on :50 really aren't that generous. I was holding the following:

Yea, that's not a typo. After a MAX :33 second swim on the 8x50's, the best I could muster was a :46 and I never got better than that. It was ugly. That 600 warmdown felt pretty good. I need a day off.
