2010 State Meet Day 2 Evening Session Results

I was actually feeling pretty good before the evening session. It's like I needed to race a few times to get in the swing of things.

100 Back - Although certainly not a great time, it was 0.80 seconds faster than the day before with a 51.14. I'm a little disheartened that the best I can muster at a state meet shaved down is a low 51 second 100 backstroke, but it's motivation to improve. This is basically my best high school time... wow.

50 Free - Last year I didn't have enough rest between these events. This year I had plenty due to more swimmers in the meet. I felt like I had a pretty good race but my time wasn't anything to write home about. I touched in a 21.55, that was three tenths off from last year, but I really want to be in the 20.xx range so I was disappointed.

400 Free Relay - We had originally wanted to do this race but were all feeling worn out after 9 races. I begged the guys to swim with me so I could try to lower my 100 Free flat start time from yesterday. They agreed and I was the lead off swimmer. The day before I swam a 48.0, today I dove in and touched in a semi-respectable 46.50. I was impressed that I dropped 1.5 seconds in a weekend!
