I was one of 32 Masters swimmers in the United States to receive the 2009 All Star Award! Thank you Masters Swimming!
The "ALL STAR" award is described on the USMS website:
"USMS has been naming All-Stars since 1987 . All-Stars are those who have achieved the most first place finishes in their age group during the year in Top Ten competition. "
This is the 3rd year in a row (2007, 2008, 2009) I've been awarded the honor in the Mens 25-29 age group. Next year I age up into the 30-34 age group which has been known to include an even greater population of swimming talent from those swimmers who chose to take 8-10 years off after college! I have my work cut out for me if I want to make it 4 years in a row!
