Every so often I get a little unrealistic in the weight room. This was the case 2 days ago. I was doing 165lb (both arms) chest fly's along with plenty of other machines. Yet that one machine represented about a 50lb increase over normal. I consider myself a fairly intelligent individual but jeez... definitely a temporary lapse in judgement. My pectoral muscles are just desolated. I hurt in places I didn't know was possible. I truly didn't know I had muscles at the very center of my sternum. Yea... they're in severe pain. I really overdid it.
I've been doing well in the pool, I trained at EMU again yesterday with my shiny new membership. Did 4,100 Long Course Meters with another EMU swimmer gearing up for their college season. I see some great swims in my future if I choose to continue this level of motivation and dedication to training!
I really figured I would drop under the magic 170.0lbs mark today, no dice. I'm feeling great and I've lost 10lbs!
