Yoga + 6,000 meters

I was tired BEFORE this afternoon's swim workout started. A late night of Yoga just ruined me... feels great though :)

It's interesting that certain parts of the Yoga workout have gotten easier and others have gotten harder. I still struggle with the "Twisting Half Moon" pose, which is held for 30 seconds per side. Doesn't sound like much, but this one is directly after other challenging poses. I have yet to make it through this pose successfully. My legs just end up giving out entirely.

I'm on week 4 of the P90X, obviously a few days behind since I started on May 1st. The entire week is referred to as a "recovery" week. It looks like some stretching and doing Yoga twice. I'm proud that I've stuck with it for this long though. I know I'll make it through.

Tonight was a long backstroke set at practice. It consisted of 300's, 200's and 150's, ending with 12x100's on the 1:45 blue pace (Fast). I'm not especially proud of my paces. I held 1:15's for most of the set, dipping to 1:13 and finished with 1:18's. I should really be much closer to 1:10 on these. We had 1:00 of rest after #12 and had to do one 100 meter backstroke ALL OUT. I finished in a 1:08. A decent time, but not impressive to me.

Today I signed up for a Club Wolverine meet in July at EMU. It's long course. Due to scheduling constraints I can't do the 100 Backstroke. I'm trying the 100 Fly (LONG COURSE?!) and the 50 Free, both on a Sunday.
