73,100 SCY and Developing a Roadmap

I'm feeling the effects of all the weights and dryland and increasing from 3k to 4k per day. I had a hard time feeling motivated to do more than 3k today but I threw in the extra 100 yards to overachieve. I've had two days of really good results doing my daily 16x25's underwater kicking directly after warmup... I'm gonna make it a tradition.
I had an interesting conversation with a fellow college swimmer Julie about training and goals. One of my long term goals is to make it through an entire 100 Back without running out of steam. I admit it's sad that I can't swim ALL OUT for less than 50 seconds, but it's the truth. I've had to pace every single race of my life. Anybody who has ever seen me swim will quickly realize I have decent speed the first 50 yards/meters but fall apart the second 50. It's something I've struggled with my entire career. I don't totally understand why this is the case considering I've experimented with multiple training methods over numerous years without any improvement.
My conversation with Julie was based around who I could talk to locally about my training. I'm not sure I'm ready to train with a SERIOUS club team, but after talking with Julie, I don't think there's anything wrong with getting an opinion from a seasoned coach. Luckily I'm surrounded with some great Coaching talent in a 10 mile radius, the next step is to gather some information I've learned about my training and be ready to present it to a coach and be open minded about their theories. Afterward, I can develop a roadmap for my training.
I'm excited to better myself.
