16Bear with me through the upgrades!

Thanks so much for your patience through the last few days, I've been doing some much needed upgrades to the site. I apologize for my dust as I make the site faster and better. Lately I've been investigating ways to improve my videos to offer faster downloads and higher quality. You may see that I've overhauled my Times Database. It's FAR from done as I slowly add ALL my times from every source possible. I will organize the database so it's searchable once I'm done. It's a huge job!
Regarding swimming, I only got in 2600 yards this afternoon because of a tight schedule and some unruly kayakers taking out my lanelines! I did weights and dryland to make up for such a short practice. I'm really getting excited about my training, I'm on a serious roll here! Day after day I'm improving and really working my underwaters. I've done my 16x25's underwater each day I've practiced which I know will help me long term. I've had a few fellow masters swimmers ask me if I'm attending the Masters Meet in Milford in mid March (wow, lots of M's). I haven't quite decided. Last years meet offered a less than satisfactory situation for backstrokers. They had the flags positioned 1.5 meters farther from the wall than regulation. This creates a massive problem with timing turns and finishes. As a backstroker (and I know I'm not alone here), we learn to time the turns precisely to the 5 meter mark. Any change in this measurement makes it impossible to time. Last year I vowed to not return to that pool unless they installed correctly measured flags.
As always, thanks for reading! --Kevin
