No-Go on Halloween Meet

A work conflict will keep me from going to the TYR Grand Prix meet in Indianapolis this weekend. I still think it's unfortunate that they would need to schedule a meet on Halloween. I just feel as though lots of swimmers have kids and wouldn't want to miss their son or daughters fun evening. For the sake of the organizers, I hope it's well attended, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if it wasn't.

It all works out for me anyway, I wasn't geared up for a meet right now regardless. I've had an interesting week of training, swapping out raking leaves for a few swim practices. As funny as it sounds, I really tried to get a workout from raking... you should have seen me out there, trying to get my arms, legs and abs into it. The leaves were being harshly whipped around the yard at a rate I've personally never seen before. I'm sure it was a sight for the neighbors and passerby's. Without proper hand protection I gave myself quite a blister on my palm.

I'll be back in the pool tomorrow, looking forward to my next meet!
