A good article was written on USA swimming yesterday about the Swimvitational and the Ultraswim meet:

http://usaswimming.org/USASWeb/ViewNewsArticle.aspx?TabId=80&Alias=Rainbow&Lang=en&ItemId=2030&mid=1707

Here are the highlights via www.usaswimming.com:

"A deep field of top American swimming talent, including Michael Phelps (Baltimore, Md.), Ryan Lochte (Daytona Beach, Fla.), Katie Hoff (Towson, Md.), and Mary DeScenza (Naperville, Ill.), will compete in two separate meets, The Mutual of Omaha Swimvitational and the Charlotte Ultraswim, June 5-8.

Phelps will compete at the Mutual of Omaha Swimvitational in Omaha, Neb., alongside 2004 Olympians Hoff, Gary Hall Jr. (Phoenix, Ariz.), Kaitlin Sandeno (Lake Forest, Calif.), Erik Vendt (North Easton, Mass.), and Neil Walker (Verona, Wis.). Rounding out the field in Omaha are 2007 World Championships team members Kate Ziegler (Great Falls, Va.), Scott Usher (Grand Island, Neb.), Kim Vandenberg (Moraga, Calif.), and Eric Shanteau (Lilburn, Ga.).

At the Charlotte Ultraswim in Charlotte, N.C., world-record holder Lochte will be joined by fellow 2004 Olympian Mark Gangloff and 2007 World Championship team members DeScenza, Cullen Jones (New Brunswick, N.J.), Kara Lynn Joyce (Ann Arbor, Mich.), and Elizabeth Beisel (Saunderstown, R.I.).

Both meets are the final tune-ups prior to the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming, which will be held June 29-July 6 in Omaha, Neb. Swimmers competing at the Mutual of Omaha Swimvitational will be the first to swim in the temporary indoor pool at the Qwest Center, the same pool that will be used at Olympic Trials."

Should be a great meet! I leave thursday for Omaha :)
